Paul Brothwood travelled to the Pyrenees as part of Honda Adventure Roads 2026 expecting challenging terrain, spectacular scenery and an opportunity to develop new skills on the Honda Transalp. The terrain regularly pushed riders beyond their comfort zones and highlighted the importance of preparation and teamwork. The event delivered all of those things. What I did not expect was how much the experience would be shaped by the people. Honda Adventure Roads 2026 brought together a select group of 30 riders from around the world. Different nationalities, different backgrounds and different levels of experience, all connected by a shared passion for motorcycling and adventure. The route through the Pyrenees was demanding. Rocky climbs, loose gravel, steep descents and remote trails regularly pushed riders beyond their comfort zones.
