Paul Brothwood Exploring the Clee Hills on His Suzuki Hayabusa
Paul Brothwood spent a summer weekend exploring the Clee Hills and the surrounding Shropshire countryside on his Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition. The route took in quiet country roads, sweeping views and some of the best riding the region has to offer. These original photographs capture both the ride and one of Suzuki's most iconic motorcycles in one of Shropshire's best-known motorcycling destinations.
The Clee Hills have become a favourite destination for many riders across the Midlands. The combination of flowing roads, open countryside and ever-changing views makes every visit worthwhile. You do not need to travel hundreds of miles to enjoy a memorable day on two wheels, and this ride was another reminder of that.

There is something special about seeing the road unfold ahead with little traffic and clear skies overhead. The Hayabusa felt completely at home on the sweeping roads, proving once again that it is about far more than outright performance.
The official Blaze Orange paintwork looks different throughout the day, and the open landscape around the Clee Hills provided an ideal backdrop to stop for a few photographs before continuing the ride.
The Hayabusa is often recognised for its performance, but rides like this highlight another side of its character. Comfortable, refined and effortless over distance, it is equally rewarding when the pace slows and the focus shifts to enjoying the road.
Clear skies and quiet roads made it one of those days where there was no reason to rush. Sometimes the best rides are the ones where you simply enjoy the journey and stop whenever a view catches your attention.
No ride is complete without stopping to talk motorcycles. Meeting fellow riders, comparing bikes and sharing route recommendations remains one of the best parts of spending a day on two wheels.
The Clee Hills continue to be one of my favourite places to ride in the Midlands. They combine enjoyable roads, outstanding scenery and the sort of relaxed atmosphere that reminds you why motorcycling is about far more than simply reaching a destination. Days like this prove that memorable rides are often found much closer to home than you might expect.
